Do people from Clifton realise how lucky they are? We are surrounded by spectacular countryside, woodland and a river valley.
These, at great expense, have been opened up with footpaths that you can walk for hours without seeing a car. Sadly though this idyllic scene is marred by the sight of beer cans, food wrappers and other less savoury items. We cannot afford to turn our countryside into a tip and it needs to stop now. On a recent visit to Ruddington Country Park I was delighted to see no rubbish at all – so come on Clifton we can do better.
