The format, all editorial and advertisers artwork is copyright and must not be reproduced without permission from The Nottingham Local News. No responsibility is accepted for any comments or claims made by advertisers or contributors.
All editorial is presumed correct at the time of printing, however any inaccurate information contained in the publication should be reported by calling 0115 981 9200 or e-mailing: editor@nottinghamlocalnews.com.
The Editor has the right to refuse to include or withdraw any information, which is felt to be inaccurate, biased, or may cause harm to individuals or businesses if published.

The Nottingham Local News holds details of advertisers, competition entrants and other contacts purely for administration use and does not pass these on to any third party. We will only disclose personal information if required to by law. We may occasionally contact former advertisers to make them aware of new products or services, but this can be stopped if the information is no longer of any interest.  

COMPETITION RULES
The Nottingham Local News occasionally runs prize competitions either in our printed newspapers or on this web-site.
Please note that:
The Editors decision is final in all competitions and no correspondence will be entered into.
Prizes or offers are only available in the advertised form, no alternative prize or cash alternative will be offered.
The Editor has the right to withdraw any competition entry for any reason. Winners are notified either in writing or by telephone at our earliest convenience following the draw date.
Winners will be prepared to have their names and area details published in the following edition when the winner is announced.
The Nottingham Local News will not accept any responsibility for any loss, damage or injury caused while using any competition prize.
Competitions run by or prizes offered by advertisers are the responsibility of the individual advertiser and are not covered by these rules.

ADVERTISING TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE
All advertised rates are plus 17.5% v.a.t. Advertisers are invoiced on publication when payment terms are then 14 days (or longer by prior arrangement). The Nottingham Local News has the right to ask for pre-payment where there have been previous problems of late payments.
10% Discount is available for ads booked for 3 consecutive months or more and is a single payment invoiced in the first month. Cancellations to future months booked may be made, but adverts published are charged at the current full monthly rate. Any refunds given for the cancelled portion of the contract are less the full price cost of months used.
Where a contract is agreed and artwork drawn up and approved this constitutes a clients intention to advertise. No cancellations can be made once the issue is in print and the client is liable for the full cost of the advert.
Artwork is only offered free of charge once an order for advertising has been placed. If artwork is drawn up and the order then cancelled the client is liable for any design costs incurred at the designer’s current hourly rate.
All artwork is copyright and must not be reproduced in any other publication without the prior permission of The Nottingham Local News.
The Nottingham Local News has the right to refuse or withdraw advertising, which it considers incorrect, misleading or offensive.

LEAFLET DISTRIBUTION TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE
Distribution cannot start until payment terms have been agreed and payment received (if applicable).
All stock must be delivered or be available for collection at least two working days before the distribution is due
to start.
All advertised rates are plus 17.5% v.a.t. The distribution is invoiced during the week of delivery when normal payment terms are then 14 days.
Whilst we try our very best to obtain the best percentage of coverage in area’s specified for delivery, this is not always possible for a number of reasons. Some area’s, especially rural sectors can be difficult to fully cover. Distribution queries will only be investigated within 7 days of completion of the contract. Isolated examples of missed properties will not be investigated and in no way constitutes evidence of complete non-delivery.
Due to health & safety reasons: (1) Our staff will not enter any property where the letterbox is not visible from the street. (2) Roads with no footpath are not covered. (3) We do not enter properties with loose animals or there is any risk to safety. (4) Properties with signs stating ‘no circulars’ or similar, are not delivered to. (5) We are not able to enter private flats or complexes which require entry by security door.
We do everything possible to ensure distributions are completed on time, however delays can occur, especially during periods of bad weather.
The Nottingham Local News is not responsible for the costs of any stock or promotional materials supplied to us under any circumstances.
Any Backcheck Reports requested by clients are subject to terms listed below in order to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Order confirmation, stock delivery and/or payment is regarded as a clients acceptance of the above.

DATA PROTECTION ACT 1998 IN RELATION TO BACKCHECK REPORTS
If a client requests a copy of their leaflet distribution ‘Backcheck Report’, in order to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 the following applies:
All information listed on a ‘Backcheck Report’ is collected by employees of The Nottingham Local News in relation to the auditing of a leaflet distribution.
The householders at the listed addresses have either given their name, signed or initialled to only confirm the delivery or non delivery of the stated leaflet.
They have not given their permission for this information to be used by any other third party.
The named individuals should not be contacted by any means and under any circumstances.
The data should not be transferred onto any other record or any further copies made under any circumstances.
The data must not be passed to any other company, except your client (if applicable) who should also see this warning.
Use of the listed data for any other purpose than listed above in paragraph 2 contravenes several sections of the Data Protection Act 1998.
The Nottingham Local News accepts no responsibility should clients fail to conform to the above after reading this warning.
