RADCLIFFE MAN RUNNING MARATHONS FOR CHARITY

A Radcliffe-on-Trent resident is running four half-marathons around the UK this year, including Nottingham in September, along with the full-marathon in New York in November. Simon Bacon is raising money for The Teenage Cancer Trust and what’s more he will be wearing a Scooby Doo costume.
Simon told The Local News: “The Teenage Cancer Trust is an amazing charity. The Nottingham Appeal is currently working on opening units within the City and Queen’s Medical Centre. These wards will provide a tailor-made environment specifically for young adults to feel at home in whilst receiving their treatment. I hope to raise in excess of £2,500.”
