MOUNTAIN CHALLENGE FOR BRIDGFORD FATHER AND SON
West Bridgford businessman Mark Bygott and his son Charlie (13), along with 13 other Maidwell Hall School friends and some parents, will take on Mount Snowdon in June in a very tough Snowdonia Mountain Challenge.
Mark, who is managing director at Mark Bygott Intercounty Estate Agents in West Bridgford, said: “The
plan is to ascend eight mountains over 3,000ft and walk about 30 miles over three days carrying full rucksacks containing all provisions and tents. Charlie has already undertaken practice walks and is ready and prepared for the challenge. Conversely I, (55) am probably in for a shock, bearing in mind that my usual exercise involves walking the dog or some gentle men’s tennis doubles.
“The aim of the event is to raise money for Mountain Rescue. This charity comprises approximately 50 autonomous rescue teams throughout England and Wales made up entirely of volunteers.”
