LOCAL SERVICE STATION CELEBRATES ANOTHER WIN
Cotgrave Service Station is celebrating winning the ‘Best in Region’ category at Jet’s annual ‘Aim4Success’ awards, just months after receiving a ‘Forecourt Trader’ accolade last year. Cotgrave Service Station beat over 50 other stations in the Midlands to win the award, which recognises high levels of customer service, health and safety, employee training and local community support at Jet service stations. In total, 350 stations throughout the UK were eligible to take part.
This year’s judges were particularly impressed by the efforts of staff at the station to improve the facilities and health and safety, as well as excellent standards of customer service. At the start of 2011, four new petrol pumps and a new unleaded tank were installed to make both petrol and diesel available to both sides of the pump islands and a new services area has been built, offering customers the use of air, water, a jet wash and
a vacuum. Widening the entrance allows larger commercial vehicles and SUVs to access the site, plus a new entry for fuel deliveries and undercover offset filling points means that refuelling can be carried out with minimum disruption to customers.
Lee Whiteman, owner of Cotgrave Service Station, told The Local News: “We are delighted to receive this recognition from Jet, which is a real credit to the dedication and hard work of all the staff here. I am passionate about continuing to improve the business that my grandfather set up over 50
years ago.”
Guy Pulham, manager of regional sales at Jet, added: “Excellent standards and service are vital to guarantee a satisfying customer experience. Cotgrave Service Station is a real credit to the Jet brand and we’re delighted to be able to recognise and reward its commitment to delivering incredibly high standards.”
