HAVE YOU SEEN A GHOST IN RUDDINGTON?
You may have seen a ghost in Ruddington. If so, the Ruddington Village newsletter would like your help. The newsletter is hoping to run a mini-series on ‘Ghosts of Ruddington’ and is appealing for stories about spooky sightings in and around the village.
Initial research has already revealed details of ghostly presence’s at several locations in the village, including the Hermitage, library, the former Horspool’s bakery and the White Horse Inn. There are even reports of a phantom train seen running along the old line to Nottingham that was removed several decades ago.
Given Ruddington’s size and the richness of its history, these stories must surely represent the mere tip of the iceberg. Newsletter contributor Faye Stenson would like to speak to anyone who thinks they may have seen a ghost in Ruddington. So if you have a tale to tell please email faye.stenson@blackandwrite.co.uk. You can send details by email or arrange a face to face interview.
