PARKING IS BECOMING A REAL PROBLEM IN CLIFTON
Further to Barnze’s recent letter, I agree parking is insane at the Top Shops. If some drivers could, they would drive into the shops rather than park up. I have observed an enforcement warden going up and down Lanthwaite Road (and other roads) on his scooter and then booking cars that have not caused any discomfort to others. One was booked on the cobbled area on Lanthwaite Road and one on the defunct hatched area where the council office entrance used to be.
I saw another within the parking lane outside the Post Office parcels office. As for blue badge holders. Has he asked to see the badge to check that the badge holder is, in fact, in the car? Or has he done anything about them parking within 32-feet of a junction. These rules are plain to see and in a booklet issued with the badge. As for the cars without a badge parking on double yellow lines, the Council could make a fortune by having a full-time warden walking up and down the road at the side of Wilkos and booking them. There again, I guess this would be hard work for the warden.

Seems to me that drivers park where they want without regard for anyone else.I have a few pictures of cars parked on grass verges with damage to the grassed area,Some folks have driveways on their property without access thus they drive up the curb and across the grass area leaving ruts in the grass,since when has this become legal?
We here in Clifton need a full time enforcement officer to see these law breakers brought to justice.
sopken by people without cars and people with a very short sight what harm dose it corse parking down the side of willkos or down the side of iceland a very short sighted and you think moveing the cars away from the shops is the answer why ? i know lets just stop people driveing alltogather lets rip the bottoms off all cars with speed bumps that will teach the 3 or 4 peoplr to slow down that speed no i have a much better idea lets charge people for walking on the paths roads are payed for by moterestist and you have guesed it so are the paths the wordens wont shooting cars should only be booked for corsing a obsturction
