SAFETY NEEDED URGENTLY ON SAXONDALE ROUNDABOUT
There surely has to be numerous urgent safety improvements to the ‘new’ Saxondale roundabout, in its revised location beneath the soon-to-be-completed A46 dual carriageway. I suggest that the current layout, with the many slips, filters and exits, is nothing more than a veritable death trap.
Unimproved, I can visualise many future incidents, and accidents, especially for motorists unfamiliar with the local roads. Let us hope that the finalised lane markings are clear and distinctive.

Agree totally. The current lane markings are confusing to non locals and the amount of close shaves occuring are quite frightening. I am amazed that there have been few accidents. The current works on the island reducing traffic down to single lanes are causeing chaos.
