MAXINE IS A GOLD MEDAL WINNER

Youngster Maxine Yu has recently won a gold medal at the British Figure Skating Championships in Sheffield. The West Bridgford teenager also won gold at an international competition in Romania. The 14-year-old studies at the West Bridgford School, where she is one of the top performers in her class.
Her parents, Dr. Zhihong Yu and Dr. Zhimin He, told The Local News: “We are very proud of her achievements. She has done so well for herself and for Britain.
“During this competition season, she has swept all gold medals in this category nationally and internationally, which included the Scottish Championships, Welsh Championships, British Championships and Crystal Skate.”
The British Figure Skating Championships (known in some years as the British Ice Figure and Dance Championships and the British Ice Figure & Synchronised Skating Championships) are a figure skating competition held annually to crown the national champions of the United Kingdom. Figure skaters compete in the disciplines of men’s singles, ladies singles, pair skating, and ice dancing.
