PILATES AND RELAXATION: THE BEST EXERCISE FOR EVERYDAY LIFE

The benefits of increased flexibility and reduced stress levels to improve our everyday activities and sense of well being are well known, but often neglected.
Pilates is a form of exercise that involves both the mind and body. Pilates is a movement technique and may be taught in a dynamic or relaxing method. It works on core stability, targeting the deep postural muscles and abdominal muscles, strengthening from the inside “out”.
You will improve your posture, bring about correct alignment and aid in relieving any unwanted stress and tension. Pilates will focus on torso stabilisation, creating a strong centre, reducing the risk of back problems and muscle imbalances by releasing and lengthening tight muscles and strengthening weak muscles.
Combined with my unique balance of specific yoga exercises for relaxation and wellbeing this is a perfect programme for those aches and pains, whether physical or mental, especially many back problems.
Debra has been teaching for over 15 years and is qualified with the Pilates Institute   British Wheel of Yoga. She has worked for many years with people suffering with ill health, cancer, MS, back pain, stress and anxiety.
Debra is developing a new class at St Peter’s Rooms in Ruddington on a Tuesday morning at 10am specific to those recovering from illness, injury, stress and anxiety. It is ideal for beginners. One-to-one sessions are also available.

Pilates/ Relaxation: This takes place on a Tuesday from 10-11am at St Peter’s Rooms in Ruddington.
Yoga/ Pilates: This takes place on a Thursday from 7.50-9.00pm at All Hallows Church Hall in West Bridgford.
