RUDDINGTON CADETS ON THEIR TRAVELS

The Ruddington Army Cadets (pictured below) recently made a visit to the France and Belgium war grave cemeteries for special remembrance parades.
Russ Jones, bugle major for the Ruddington Cadet Detachment, told The Local News: “The new Corps of Drums were exceptional and received standing ovations wherever they played.
“We kept it low key on the 30th and just the bugles played at various cemeteries along the Ypres Salient and not in our uniform.
“This was a great occasion for all the cadets and I am very proud of every single one of them.”
The Ruddington Army Cadets are a youth group who teach young people the Duke of Edinburgh award, adventure training, bugle, drums, how to shoot and how to live outdoors. Contact Russ for more details on 07739 563 588.
