PARKLIFE 2010: FREE ACTIVITIES
Parklife is a series of fun free community events which offer a range of exciting activities in the parks and open spaces in Nottingham.
This year’s Parklife events will be fun-filled family days, bringing together local organisations and partners to offer an array of activities.
These include:
- Climbing wall
- Bouncy castles
- Obstacle course
- Skateboarding activities
- Cartoon drawing
- Face painting
- Circus skills
- Puppet show
- Dancing activities
- And many more
Bring a picnic and make a day of it. The event in Clifton will be held on Tuesday 17th August on Clifton Playing Fields on Farnborough Road (post code: NG11 8JU) from 11am-4pm.
Jade Gresham, active communities development officer for Nottingham City Council, said: “We all know how difficult it can be to get involved in your community and find out what’s available, but by coming to a Parklife event near you you’ll be able to find out exactly what’s available in your area.
“You’ll be able to pick up lots of tips and ideas on how to become more active and how to lead a healthy life. There are heaps of fun and exciting ways to keep fit and healthy.”
