DANIELLE’S EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME
Local teenager Danielle Greaves is about to undertake an experience of a lifetime by volunteering to join a special conservation project in South Africa. This fantastic experience will be invaluable in following her dream of attending university, where she will study Environmental Biology.
Danielle told The Local News: “I would like a career to work with African people and show them the importance of conserving and living in harmony with the wildlife they see around them.”
The project is going to cost Danielle £2,500 and considering she is only 17, this is quite a tall order. However, help has been at hand in the form of Dawn’s Cards of Clifton and her customers, who are helping to sponsor Danielle in her project.
Dawn told The Local News: “She is a very passionate young girl and I have known Danielle and her family for many years. We should encourage this sort of enthusiasm as there’s so much bad press labelled on young people these days.
“Danielle is a shining beacon amongst her peers and she has the determination rarely seen in most people these days. So it is nice to be able to try and help make her dream come true.”
Any donations can be left at Dawn’s Cards, which is located next to Boots on Southchurch Drive in Clifton.
Danielle added: “I would like to thank all the people of Clifton who have helped by giving donations already. I am very grateful and hope to reach the target of the full amount in the next couple of weeks.”
Danielle leaves for her trip to South Africa on Tuesday 17th August.
