COTGRAVE ACADEMY IS FORMED

Following the Cotgrave Colts AGM last month, the decision has been made to start Cotgrave Academy for local players aged 16 to 19.
A club spokesperson told The Local News: “Cotgrave is the only local area that does not cater for this age group and a number of local people have expressed an interest in getting this off the ground.
“These include Kev Cooper, who has agreed to push this with the support of new Colts chairman, Colin Butler. John Dale, Martin Powel, Richard Randall and Ian Goulding have also offered their support. The idea is also supported by Mark Turner, Ian Lynn and Sean Barrett.
“The success of this is not only down to enough players being interested in playing, but we will need local companies to play their part in sponsorship. If there is anyone that can help in any way then please get in touch.”
