SHOP CHANGES
The article in your May edition prompts me to comment on the vacant property located at Gordon Square in West Bridgford. I noticed that a temporary sign on the premises announces the fact that a new
‘One-Stop’ shop is to open there mid-June. This mini-supermarket outlet will apparently be open for business early morning to late at night.
I wonder how many residents in the area (and possibly the council) are aware that this is actually a Tesco store by another name. Apparently they have already converted approximately 400 One-Stop stores to the Tesco Express format since acquiring the chain in 2003. Arrival by stealth.
