BINGHAM COMPANY HELPS PROVIDE HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE

A company based in Bingham is leading theway in making Rushcliffe a healthier borough. Fresh Fruit Delivered is a new company launched by Bingham-based Water at Work and Home. The aim is to help employers provide a healthier alternative snack for their workers, as well as helping them reach their target of five a day. Fresh Fruit Delivered are working with Dean Kerry, whose family have traded locally in
top-quality fresh fruit for over 100 years.
Managing director, Tanya Rostron, told The Local News: “Our fruit is locally-sourced as much as possible and is freshly bought each morning. Only the highest grade fresh fruit is used and is packed carefully into our boxes ready for delivery to the various workplaces, along with their spring water.”
The company opened for business in May and has already received huge support from the Water at Work and Home exciting customer base. We are a nation of workaholics and spend on average 60% of our waking day at work. When at work we tend to neglect our health and snack on high calorie foods such as crisps and biscuits.
Tanya added: “Fruit has natural sugars which stimulate the brain allowing us to think faster. We can recall information more quickly which means we are 100% productive all day. Supplying fruit in the workplace will result in increased staff moral making them feel valued. It can also increase output, and as they are eating more healthy foods is can result in lower sickness.  “Health and wellbeing is something we at Fresh Fruit Delivered believe in very strongly and this new weekly service provides a great healthy snack for our clients.”
