ATHLETICS SUCCESS

Willow Brook Primary School have become champions in indoor athletics now, after recent successes in cross country running and 7-a-side football. In one of the most prestigious events on the Primary School sports circuit, a team of five boys and five girls competed in five field events
Willow Brook won their heats, by a point, to claim their place in the final alongside Greythorn, Abbey Road, Candleby Lane, Ruddington St Peters, Robert Miles and Radcliffe. Willow Brook emerged victorious over Cotgrave’s Candleby Lane.
Teacher Simon Tuckwell said: “Of all the sporting success we have had this year, this is perhaps the best achievement. All 10 of the children needed to be on top of the game and produce a top performance and they certainly did. I am so proud of the team and a great reward to the years of practice they have put in. It was a fantastic way to sign off their Willow Brook sporting careers.”
