ARE YOU READY FOR A CHANGE?

The Clifton and Wilford Jobs and Training Fair takes place on Friday 11th June at the Clifton Cornerstone (first floor) from 10.30am to 3.30pm, and this could be just what you are looking for.
Don Bulmer, local neighbourhood action officer, told The Local News: “Following the success of recent locally-organised jobs and training fairs in the past, it is good to be able to report that another is being arranged for the local area.
“Anyone looking at future training or employment, or even looking at changing their career will be most welcome. The event is a great opportunity for local people to come along and see what opportunities are available to them.
“Employers such as East Midlands Airport and Carillion (major construction projects including NCC BSF) will be present. There will also be representatives from training providers such as South Notts College, Care Training East Midlands, Silvertrack (rail and construction training/placements) and Futurestore, who can answer your questions.
“There will also be benefits advice available from Job Centre Plus and Working Links advisors who can help with all aspects of returning to work. The Children and Families Information Service will also be there to help with childcare issues.
“Please feel free to drop in at any time during the day, tea and biscuits will be available so no need to rush off. Take your time, question the various stallholders and find out exactly what may be on offer for you.”
