WORK FOR COTGRAVE CARE HOME

Work costing over £2 million to build extra bedrooms and improve facilities for elderly people with dementia at two homes in Nottingham will start this spring. Elder Homes Group are to add eight more bedrooms at the 82-bedroom Eton Park in Owthorpe Road, Cotgrave. The £400,000 development will lead to between 20 and 30 new jobs and work will get underway in May.
They will also begin the construction of a 23-bedroom extension at Millington Springs in Portland Road, Selston. This £1.7 million development will also lead to the creation of 40 new full and part-time jobs for carers and nurses as well as kitchen and domestic staff.
David Messenger, managing director of Elder Homes Group, said: “Sadly, there appears to be a need to provide care for an increasing number of residents with dementia.
“The extensions at both homes will mean we can provide luxury en-suite bedrooms with plasma televisions, a state-of-the-art lounge, a new dining room and a sensory room and Eton Park will also have beautiful landscaped gardens for residents and their guests to enjoy sitting in. We will be able to provide an even better quality of life for our residents.”
