PREMIERE CONTINUES OAP HALF FARES
Local bus operator Premiere Travel has pledged to continue to offer it’s OAP customers discounted fares before 9.30am. Following Nottinghamshire County Council’s announcement that the current half fare for concession card holders will end on 1st April, Premiere have introduced a new version of it’s Premiere Travel Card called the Gold Card for it’s customers over 60. The card is free of charge and as well as offering half fares before 9.30am on Monday to Friday, card holders also get discounts off premiere holidays and day trips out.
Premiere managing director, Steve Greaves, said: “Many of our customers over 60 like to travel earlier to avoid the 9.30am rush when free travel starts, so we have launched the new gold card to continue the half fare discount. Gold cards are available free of charge and are valid on all of our services.”
The Gold card does not replace the current council-issued concession passes that are still needed to get free travel after 9.30am.
Premiere has also launched a new card for 16-19 year olds. The Premiere Teencard offers unlimited travel on all Premiere services from as little as £20 per month.
Mr Greaves continued: “We have been delighted with Premiere Card take-up since they were launched in January. With unlimited travel from less than £8 per week our customers are saving lots of money on their travel costs.”
Cards are available for 28 days, three, six or 12 months and offer unlimited travel on all premiere services at all times. To apply for a Premiere Card or for details call 0115 985 1111 or see www.premierebuses.co.uk
