HERMITAGE HAVE FUN AND KEEP FIT
The Hermitage Pre-School in Ruddington has joined up to Haven Holidays’ Fun and Fitness sports equipment give-away campaign in an attempt to encourage the children to exercise more. The school are now appealing to parents and anyone else connected with Hermitage to make sure they pledge their support for this exciting campaign.
Supervisor, Teresa Gough, said: “We want to make sure the children are getting enough exercise and we need the right equipment to encourage them to take part.
“The pack, available through the Haven Fun and Fitness campaign, has lots of sports items that the children will love. This will also mean that we can plan a variety of games and exercise for individual and team activities at the school.
“What is even better is that it’s free, but we need to make sure parents and carers actually click on to the website and pledge their support – otherwise we might miss out. Latest reports show that even very young children are at risk of developing serious health issues due to lack of physical activity.
“The Change4Life campaign run by the NHS suggests even under-5’s should aim for a minimum of 60 minutes of physical activity each day. With over-stretched budgets and the growing need to provide sport and exercise, schemes such as Haven Holidays’ Fun and Fitness campaign have become an integral part of pre-school planning. Supporting the scheme via the website is much easier than other fund-raising efforts.
“We would have to sell a lot of buns to make enough money to buy all this kit. If you’d like to know more about Haven’s Fun and Fitness Giveaway, or want to support The Hermitage Pre-School, please visit the website at www.havenfunfitness.com“
