COMMUNITY CLEAN UP EVENT IN COTGRAVE
On Friday 9th April, a community clean-up event is taking place in Cotgrave. Local
schools, community groups and other organisations will work together to make Cotgrave cleaner and safer. Rushcliffe Borough Council and the South Nottinghamshire Community Safety Partnership are organising the Spring Clean to raise awareness of environmental issues, to encourage people to feel personally responsible and proud of the area in which they live, and to support the local community.
In order to make the community clean-up a success, your help is needed. Do you have any ideas for activities that could be included in this year’s event? Would you like to volunteer to take part? Is there an area in Cotgrave that you think could benefit from a clean-up? Do you have some ideas about recycling?
The clean-up project includes street cleaning, tackling overgrown hedges and bushes, and removing fly tipping, street litter and graffiti.
If you have any ideas or would like to volunteer please telephone 0115 914 8571 or send an email to dparker@rushcliffe.gov.uk
