WOMEN’S WORLD DAY OF PRAYER
A Women’s World Day of Prayer service will take place at St Giles’ Church in West Bridgford on Friday 5th March at 2pm. This world-wide service has, this year, been planned by the women of Cameroon. The speaker at St. Giles’ will be Sally Proudlove, wife of the Rector. Sally’s professional background is in child protection and while the family spent three and a half years in the Philippines, Sally worked with the women of the village on basic health and feeding issues.
She also worked with a charity rescuing children from child traffickers, these are matters also very close to issues in Cameroon. There will be crèche facilities available and the services aims to end in time for school pick-ups.
