ROTARIANS RAISE OVER £1,000 FOR THE HAITI EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS

Thanks to the generosity of ASDA and its customers, a team of 16 Rotarians and partners from the Rotary Club of West Bridgford, led by President Sandra Morrey, raised £890 for the Haiti earthquake relief operation. This was increased to over £1,000 by donations from club members and their families.
The funds will be spent purchasing a shelter box, which contains a 10-person tent, water purification and cooking equipment, basic tools and a stove, and Rotary Aquaboxes, which contain water purification tablets, clothing, essential household goods, items for personal hygiene and clothing.
Sandra Morrey told The Local News: “I very much appreciate the charitable response to the appeal by the families shopping at ASDA, who gave their whole-hearted support to the collection.”
