RADCLIFFE TO HOST RUSSIAN LADIES’ CHOIR

Radcliffe-on-Trent Male Voice Choir are all set to host ‘Anima’, who are a Ladies Chamber Choir from the Muradely School of Music in Moscow. The choir will be spending the weekend in Radcliffe and performing in a joint concert in St Mary’s Church on Saturday 27th March at 7pm. The ladies have achieved a high level of success in international festivals in Russia, Austria and France, but this will be their first visit to Britain. 
They perform a wide repertoire of popular compositions by Russian and western composers, church music and folk songs. Tickets for the concert are priced at £6 and are available from the National Dry Cleaners in Radcliffe. This will be the second time that the Male Voice Choir has welcomed a choir from Russia, following the visit of the Moscow State University Academic Choir in 2001.
