NEW BUSES PROVING VERY POPULAR
The new ‘Red1’ bus service from Bingham and Radcliffe to Nottingham launched at the end of Janaury is proving very popular. The premiere service runs every 15 minutes during the daytime and offers low fares and convenient stops in the City centre at the Train Station, Broadmarsh, Victoria Centre and Friar Lane.
Premiere managing director, Steve Greaves, told The Local News: “We have been extremely pleased with the number of customers trying the Red1 these first few weeks and everyone seems to be thrilled with the new service. I’ve spoken to lots of our new customers, they like the city loop route dropping them off at Victoria Centre and they are welcoming the great value fares.
“A day return costs just £3.50 from Bingham or £3 from Radcliffe and regular customers can buy a Premiere Card giving them unlimited travel from less than £8 per week. At last Bingham and Radcliffe people have a real alternative to having to use their cars.”
The company has also increased peak-time buses so they now run up to every 10 minutes to provide more seats at the busiest times. There is also a new hourly evening service with the last bus from Nottingham at 11pm Monday to Saturday.
