MORE BUSES TO SERVE CLIFTON

Nottingham City Transport have introduced extra buses on Clifton routes 1, 4 and L53 to meet growing customer demand. These buses support existing services by providing extra capacity for increasing numbers of students using public transport to get to school or university.
The One (1) will have an extra journey on school days from Clifton Pastures at 8am to Harry Carlton School (arriving at 8.15am). On Unilink 4, the existing 8am from NTU City Campus towards Clifton will depart five minutes earlier and an extra journey will run at 8.05am. On Local Link L53, three journeys will be duplicated, including 7.42am from Clifton to the Queen’s Medical Centre Mondays to Fridays.
David Astil, NCT’s commercial manager, said: “With unlimited bus and tram travel available from just 70 pence per day with our popular Easyrider Citycard Under 18 travel card, it’s hardly surprising that so many of the city’s children choose to travel to school and college by bus.
“We have once again listened to customer feedback and these extra buses will ensure we continue to meet growing demand.”
