BOOST FOR NOTTINGHAM’S NEONATAL SERVICE TRUST

The Mayor of Rushcliffe, Peter McGowan, and Mayoress, Deirdre McGowan (pictured below), recently held a private luncheon for 80 friends, supporters and civic heads in aid of Nottingham’s Neonatal Service Trust.
Mr McGowan said: “We have supported this charity for a very long time. Our daughter was born 11 weeks early and we know, first hand, how amazing the work is that is carried out in Nottingham’s neo-natal units. Our daughter is now a healthy 23-year-old thanks to the care and expertise we received.”
The Mayor has already raised over £5,000 for his chosen charity since taking office in May 2009 and the charity lunch raised a further £700 from ticket sales and a raffle. The Mayor chose The Sanctuary Restaurant and Bar after enjoying a meal there with friends late last year.
