ROTARY CLUB YOUNG CITIZEN AWARD 2010
The Rotary Clubs of Keyworth and Ruddington, West Bridgford , Bingham and Trent Bridge are combining together to search for young people living in the area, whose efforts in the community deserve to be more widely-recognised. A special new ‘Young Citizen Award’ has been announced by the four clubs.
Information will be going out early in the year to organisations dealing with young people in the 14-18 age group. Nominations are welcome up to the deadline of Wednesday 24th March.
They are looking for young people who have been outstanding role models in areas such as raising money for charity, caring for others, working in the community or overcoming disability, illness or hardship to achieve. Judging will be by a panel headed by an independent chairman. Top prizes of £100, £75 and £50 will be awarded and all nominees will receive a certificate and be invited to a presentation evening at the British Geological Survey in Keyworth later on in the year.
