ICE COLD FUN FOR LOCAL SQUADRON CADETS AT THE NATIONAL ICE CENTRE

For the second year in a row, 209 (West Bridgford) Squadron organised an evening at the National Ice Centre in Nottingham City Centre
ATC Sergeant Sarah Middleton, who was behind the event, said: “It was another great success. A total of 186 cadets and staff from nine Squadrons went onto the ice. It was nice to see all the cadets and staff enjoying themselves before Christmas. This year we had a huge increase on numbers from last year.”
Air Cadets from 209 Sqn gave a hand to the Christmas shoppers on the last weekend before Christmas by running a bag packing event and ten cadets worked in two shifts to cover the day
Jill Tring, Civilian Committee Chair, who organised the bag pack, said: “Thank you to the customers of Co-op West Bridgford for being so generous with their donations to the Air Cadets of 209 Sqn at the bag packing event on the 19th December.
“In total they donated £426. I heard many compliments made to the cadets about their appearance, manners and ability to pack a bag correctly. The Squadron relies on fund raising to enable the cadets to take part in many activities. Thank you again and a Happy New Year.”
