‘A STITCH IN TIME’ AT HUSQVARNA STUDIO

Editorial from Husqvarna Studio
The recession and a planet conscience has encouraged more people to sew from all age groups. Sewing is back in vogue and we are delighted to see so many people picking up the thread and being creative as well as practical. How many of us remember the sewing classes we attended at school using treadle or hand driven machines? Since those early days the variety of sewing products has increased immensely, many owing to new technologies allowing the home user to do what could only be done in factories, from cover seaming and machine blind hemming to embroidery and logo design on computers and computer embroidery machines. Sewing is re-establishing itself as a sought after hobby.
The consumer doesn’t just want to buy a sewing machine in a box, often they will need to learn new skills or brush up on old ones. Every sewing machine sold by Husqvarna Studio comes with free tuition, although the instruction booklets and DVD’s are excellent and as easy as the machines are to use there is nothing quite like having an expert at your elbow guiding you through new procedures and offering you useful tips of the trade at the same time.
Sewing machines today start from as little as £79 and have the technology to make all types of sewing from dressmaking to soft furnishings fun and easy. The majority of Husqvarna Studio’s customers are local to Nottingham and the East Midlands, but with haberdashery, fabric and sewing machine suppliers difficult to find many are prepared to travel to find a specialist store with all their sewing needs catered for under one roof.
Husqvarna Studio are open six days a week from 9.15am-5.00pm and the first Sunday in the month (when on road parking is free). For product or course information contact 0115 988 1550 or you can visit the website www.husqvarnastudio.co.uk
