LOTS OF FUN FOR BUSY BEES

Busy Bees at Milford School Day Nursery in Clifton recently dressed up as bumble bees for the day, as children and staff from Busy Bees nurseries across the UK successfully took on the challenge of breaking a world record for the largest gathering of people dressed as bumble bees.
Busy Bees Nurseries have officially set the new world record at 1,901, smashing the previous record of 200. To set the record staff and children from over 100 Busy Bees nurseries across the country wore wings,
antennae and black and yellow stripes. Everyone who took part in the record attempt donated £1 to raise money for The Cystic Fibrosis Trust. The record attempt was part of Busy Bees’ involvement with the Department of Health’s national campaign Change4Life, with the aim of raising awareness for the initiative.
Nursery manager, Kelly Langley, said: “We all had great fun and it was lovely to see how much effort had been put into the costumes. We’re very proud to call ourselves Guinness World Record holders.
“The partnering with Change4Life has been a great opportunity to work in partnership with parents to ensure that their child receives a well balanced diet and takes part in plenty of active play and learning, in nursery and at home.”
Meanwhile, Clifton’s Busy Bees celebrated Halloween in special fancy dress. Two of the pupils Byron and Delilah are pictured above. The whole nursery took part in various activities such as painting spiders and pumpkins, while also making Halloween biscuits. To add to the theme they made a Halloween menu for the day, which was toad-in-the-hole, slimy jelly with spiders, pumpkin soup and Halloween cakes.
