Turkey and all the trimmings
Try to avoid eating the skin because this is usually high in fat.
How to reduce fat content
When roasting your meat or turkey use a metal rack or trivet to allow the fat to drain off. Don’t use fat to roast your potatoes
Can’t resist roast potatoes?
Cut potatoes into larger chunks to stop them absorbing as much fat and roast them in a small amount of unsaturated oil like olive oil or sunflower oil.
Top up them vegetables
Steam, boil or microwave where possible and use herbs and spices to flavour rather than salt or butter.
